Jim to Jim, The Dactylorhiza praetermissa is growing in my ordinary garden soil, which is to say somewhat acidic, in an area that is artificially kept moist but with fairly good drainage. I tend to get an increase by a factor of 2 each year by simple division. I probably fertilize each year.
