Lapageria rosea

David Hale of Portland, Oregon, has grown Lapageria rosea for many
years in a large glazed clay pot in his and Donna's dining room, next
to a north-facing window. I can't quite recall but I think he has it
trained on a moss pillar of the kind used for orchids, about 5 feet
high or a little more. It flowers there. Growing it indoors would
solve the Midwest heat threat if the house is air-conditioned, as I
think many of them are.
