As you all know, we just celebrated our 300th BX - what an amazing feat! We are so grateful to our many members who have supported the BX through donations of plant material. Your generosity allows us to provide common and easy-to-grow seeds and bulbs at affordable prices to members who are just discovering their bulbophile tendencies as well as rare and unusual bulbs for distribution to our world wide experts. Dell has performed an immense amount of work over the years and he is to be applauded by all of us. The funds we collect allow us to continue the BX and to provide other member services such as The Bulb Garden and the biennial Membership Directory. More recently it has provided some support for local group meetings where bulb people have had the chance to meet and greet one another. Future meetings will be announced shortly. There are a few members who are behind in their BX payments. Without these funds we cannot continue to provide the services outlined above. I know that those little pink slips have a tendency to crawl under stacks of paper or to sneak into the trash can. If you are not sure whether you have an outstanding balance, please contact me at arnold140@verizon.net; I would be happy to double-check your account. I have sent a few private notes to some who have fallen behind. As of January 1, 2012 any member with a open balance will not be permitted to participate in the BX's for the New Year.
