Diane,    "probably"...I believe you can have 2 buds at each node...     If the cane is pulled over (pegged as a rose cane) there will be new branches which grow vertical.  The flowers only come from the terminal growth, however on the secondary branches (from canes which have bent over the year before) I get flowers as well.

I shouldn't have planted it on the low side of the greenhouse.

If I cut off the top, will it branch?
