A search through old files can bring a surprise or two and . Recently I came across the file shown at http://flickr.com/photos/andrewrmw/… It was taken in late September 1999 in the western Cape, inland from Mosselbaai. I have no notes to record the species. I was with two Afrikaaners, neither of whom spoke English. They had a common name but were not sure about it. Could anyone here provide a hint? A Geissorhiza, maybe G. foliosa? Thanks Andrew San Diego
