Ae-Ae is the "original" variegated banana. Now it's one of several variegated varieties out there, some much easier to grow than Ae-Ae If Ae-Ae was stable in tissue culture the market would have been satisfied already. Now I am seeing if it can survive the winter in our basement under lights. I thought I had found something really special when I was informed by a local plantsperson that Plant Delights has a hardy version they are hoping to market soon!!
