Hippeastrum bukasovii -- Possibly Epiphytic?

All Interested,

    I just read an old message from Alan Meerow to myself and list about
epiphytic species and how many will grow in the leaf litter below the trees
as well.  I will post below:

"Josh,

Hippeastrum papilio is an epiphyte, as is Pamianthe. You will also
readily find the eipiphytic hippeastrums growing in leaf litter below
the trees. Worsleya would more accurately be called a lithophyte in
nature, as it grows on rocks and rock crevices, rather than in trees.

Alan"

  This is how H. bukasovii is found, it grows amongst the leaf litter below
the trees and with a faint tug will easily lift out.
