My Veltheimia bracteata are all showing signs of growth after our first rains of the season ... they had gone domant last June.  For me, V.bracteata does not bloom until the Spring.  V.capensis, however, blooms reliably for me every October:
A small 6-year old Amarygia .... Amaryllis belladonna X Brunsvigia josephinae ... in a small pot, has finally opened the first of only 4 florets.  Still pretty, though:
I assume this will likely be sterile like one of its Brunsvigia-like flowered Amarygia siblings which bloomed earlier.
