Lycoris Report -Kansas City

Interesting bloom report Jim. Rock collecting indeed. Glad the drought has not dried up your sense of humor.

Regarding the Lycoris sprengeri variation in color, is there some environmental factor apparently driving the variation?
Sun/shade, something about the soil which may have cause them to be drier or hotter? I am particularly interested in
what factors affect the blue versus pink color. It sounds like it is more environmental than genetic; is that true?
The wiki suggests lower temperatures can result in bluer blooms but your weather has been the opposite.

My L. sprengeri seedlings' single leaves from your seeds are 4 to 6 cm tall. Im not sure how much sun to give them.
