I've had problems this year with algae and moss infesting the top layer of my outdoor seedling pots and trays, which seems to be detrimental to some of the seedlings. I am tediously removing the infested layer and replacing with clean DG, as pictured here (one row remaining.) http://flickr.com/photos/amarguy/… I am afraid an algae/moss inhibitor also harm the seedlings.
