Andrew, Lachenalia seed is viable for at least five years, though fresh is better. I sometimes receive seed to late to plant as well, past mid November I have found it better to wait, however that is here in the Monterey Bay region. I try to keep most seed trays for at least one more season and often will have germination the second year.
