Nerine bowdenii - How to overwinter?

This is very good to know. 

I'm prone to think that even if our winter temperatures day/nightcan go down to -40 C/F, the soil temp wouldn't go down under -20 C. I'll try planting a couple [I only have 5 bulbs] next spring in a sheltered spot and cover them up with a big pile of dead leaves.
