WHITE AMARYLLIS

This morning, for the second time this week, I drove by a spectacular planting of white (which at 35 miles an hour looks like) Amaryllis belladona on Grizzly Peak Boulevard about a mile south of the Fish Ranch intersection in Berkeley, CA.

I thought I'd take time later to knock on the door to see if the owner would be willing to sell me some bulbs. Alternatively, is there a good California source for white naked ladies and, if so, when should I best go about availing myself of some of these gorgeous plants?

I know there are PBS members who live and garden nearby and may be able to help with this request.

Thank you.
