early Erythronium helenae flowers

Checking my seedling pots today, I was surprised to find a small pot of Erythronium helenae, grown from seeds offered in BX 218, with both foliage and flower buds coming on. The buds are already more than 1 cm long. 

This seems very early to me, but it's a new species in my garden. Can others comment on the timing of flowering for this species?
