Introduction (Facebook Groups)

Alberto has it right.  You have to be approved by the moderator before you
can join a Facebook group, whether it is open or closed.  In an open group,
non-members can view posts (discussions), but they can not make posts
themselves.  In a closed group, only members can make and view posts.
