Iris collina

Thanks to Jim et al. I can confirm that the representatives of the Iris sintenisii here are as Jim describes but the hunt for the plant which started this wasn't entirely wasted as I was able to duck a couple of jobs for a while which my wife thought were more useful. I personally find I. sintenisii's colour very attractive but not everyone who has seen them in flower goes along with that view. The mention of the Italian taxonomic treatment for I. collina, so-called or whatever, is analogous with their authority's treatment of taxa within the genus Lilium, too complicated to trouble you with here. Anyway, Jim's elucidation is important, not just at the specific level but pointing up the travels and travails of many genera.
