Iris coccina

I contacted Angelo.  I was hoping he'd reply first, but maybe he already
went to bed.  :-)

Here was his reply:  "It's Iris collina, which is considered a synonymous
of Iris sintenisii. This species is found in Southern Italy and it's not
well understood if it's the same species of the Balkans or a valid
subspecies.  Probably Dell couldn't read my label. It's Iris collina, not
coccina."

So it's a type of Spuria iris.
