Seriously Facebook

Dear all, I thoroughly agree with Jim. Now that I am retiring I will sit down and work out how to put photos on the wiki from an email I was sent ages ago and no doubt it will be quick and simple. However during my trip overseas in June I became aware how easy and relatively quick it is to put albums of photos on facebook for friends to enjoy and have been putting photos on since then. I also have contact with a number of plant people, especially in Brazil through facebook and find it extremely easy and convenient. I will also look into the facebook page on bulbs when my time becomes my own not my employers'.So certainly there are 'horses for courses' and for a somewhat 'technologically challenged' person like me facebook serves a purpose. And yes, Ina, Eastern Australia is in the grip of a heatwave where we have been suffering temperatures up to and in some cases above 40degrees over several weeks now and for my area not a drop of rain in sight. Hence the bushfires in the e
astern states which, I believe, have been on the news in some countries.Shelley Gage (Goomboorian near Fraser Island, Queensland.)

I suggest that PBS does take on ownership of the FB page and manage it intelligently to encourage the casual fleeting FB discussions and urge potentially more serious individuals to consider joining our PBS group. The two groups should not be in conflict. PBS and further PBS would benefit from similar interactions with other FB bulb pages and web groups. I personally think that PBS needs more and wider range of members.
