Vijay asked of my biscotti  "Is that from your home grown Saffron?"

Not usually, Vijay, because I don't have that many saffron plants growing here, just a just a few to keep me in the game.

Years ago I bought a one ounce tin of Spanish saffron for $40 or $50 dollars. At the rate that I use saffron, that's more than a life time supply. It's been interesting to watch the cost of saffron rise: that one ounce tin would now sell for about $350-400. I wish my other investments had done so well!
