Roger,
I am from Kashmir and in late October and November went to Pampore to see
the saffron flowers, (surprised by the political messages with the write
up). Lately the housing boom in the area is cutting down the land under
cultivation for saffron, the labor costs of working in saffron fields is
getting to high so the farmers are selling there land, Pampore is one of the
plateaus were all the saffron grows in Kashmir Valley.
