This has been mentioned previously and several people took it hilariously suggesting ridiculous things like using microwaves, etc. The main problem is to maintain the desired temperature constant AT THE BULB CORE. Basically it involves cooking the virus just on the edge of cooking the bulb. It is not easy to perfrom and the treated bubls are pretty battered after the treatment. It is NOT the same method used to kill narcissus fly larvae or eggs, that is routinetly successful.
