Dear Rimmer, This plant is native in Hungary, but we seldom have cool summers. I think you can sow the seeds now and they might germinate in september ro october, because normally the plant starts to flower that time. Or in spring, when it gets the leaves out. It likes a sunny place, i lost mine many many years ago when planted in half shade. Regards, Janos Z5a, Hungary
