layering bulbs with other plants

Hi Paul,

An apparently unsuccessful attempt on my part to solicit an opinion 
from Tony Avent. Speaking of knowledgeable opinions, I don't remember 
reading your guess concerning the mystery plant in question. Surely 
you have some time between flowering titan arum TV news interviews to 
regale us with your opinion.
