I don'[t raise Clivia, but I do have a Worsleya from seed (August 2007)  which might bloom next year, so I know just what Mike is talking about. In 2014 it seemed to pick up its rate of growth; in 2015 it definitely did. By the end of 2015 the top of the pseudostem bagan to tilt in the direction of the main light source and the foliage (it's up to seven big leaves now) took on the sickle shape of mature plants. So I'm excited, too.
Jim McKenneyMontgomery County, Maryland, USA, USDA zone 7, where we're under about two feet of snow and 11° F (~-11 °C) is predicted for tomorrow morning. About the only new growth which might be above ground at this time of year is that of skunk cabbage, although some hybrid witch hazels were blooming two weeks ago.
