I have grown this fleetingly over the years. On multiple occasions I have bought clearly living rhizomes, which never sprouted. I have bought leafed-out plants, which eventually went dormant when I either stopped watering intentionally for the winter, or forgot to water during their growing season. I have never had a plant that went dormant return. Is this plant sensitive to even moderately high temperatures?
