Ken, Thanks for your detailed information! It would never have occurred to me to just buy some of those $5 Hipps at Wally World to use as guinea pigs to perfect cloning methods. Duh. Ironically the pod parent of my seedling is just such a generic "Red Amaryllis" bought a few years back from the aforementioned supplier. This gives me something to do for the winter. Mad scientists never retire. They just get crazier.
