Hello Nan, I would not worry too much. It depends for how long they will be traveling until they reach their destination but even if there should be some mold, it would not matter. I would not peel off the red skin and wrap them into dry kitchen towel and pack them in a way that they don’t get crushed. If you peel off the red skin the seeds might dry out which is worse than some mold. They need to be peeled before sowing as the seed coat of many seeds contains germination inhibitors. Hope that helps Uli > Am 22.06.2026 um 14:00 schrieb pbs-request@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net: > > Send pbs mailing list submissions to > pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net > > To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit > https://lists.pacificbulbsociety.net/cgi-bin/… > or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to > pbs-request@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net > > You can reach the person managing the list at > pbs-owner@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net > > When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific > than "Re: Contents of pbs digest..." > > > List-Post:<mailto:pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net > List-Archive:<http://www.pacificbulbsociety.org/list.php > > > Today's Topics: > > 1. The fruits are fleshy and ripe now. I am concerned about finding a way that I can send them without the seeds going moldy. > > Thanks so much > > Nan Sterman > > > ***************************************** > Nan Sterman, Waterwise Gardener > Owner of Nan Sterman's Garden School > Garden Journalist ?
