I live in Okotoks, Alberta, Canada, with my parrot Phelonius (a green wing Macaw).
Okotoks is nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
We are in Zone 3a.
Elevation is 1053 meters.

Our new yard (mostly untamed) is steeply sloped and there are natural springs in our hill which help to provide ideal growing conditions
for moisture loving iris, such as sibirica.
I have gardened most of my life, starting with vegetable gardening when old enough to weed. This has grown into an obsessive passion for plants, especially for anything started from seed. I try to start most all of my plants from seed, if possible.
Favorite geophyte, so far, hippeastrum with albuca a close second.
