Schnarfia is a proposed new genus in the split of Scilla. This new genus is in the Hyacinthaceae family and consists of species that are from Europe. They have succulent capsules, small bracts and bracteoles, semiterete scapes (several per season) and are floppy in fruit. They have very distinctive seeds, glossy brown-yellow with a solid appendage. For more information about the proposed Scilla changes consult
