Title: Visit to Uli Urban's garden
Post by: betschei on February 17, 2024, 01:57:18 PM
My husband and I are in Portugal for vacation. We've just spent a wonderful afternoon with Uli Urban, and his partner Bernard Niederberger, touring their garden in southern Portugal. They welcomed us so warmly and were happy to answer our questions. They transformed a weedy steep slope into terraces heavily planted with unusual bulbs, succulents, orchids, shrubs, and fruit trees. What they've accomplished is awe-inspiring and simply beautiful. Uli told me that he would enjoy having more PBS members visit him, so reach out to him directly.

So Uli. If I make it to Portugal, you'll let me see your garden?! Cool!

First of all: thank you very much for your kind words, @Beth. It was a pleasure to have met you and both of us enjoyed our conversation very much.
And for all of you: yes, you are welcome to visit! As I stated in the membership directory I am happy to receive visitors. As we do travel from time to time, prior notice would be a good idea.
