Grown from BX 363 seed (June 2014) as Hippeastrum stylosum. But looks more like a xHippeastrelia.
Rimmer, I'm pretty sure that Hippe is not stylosum. You're right about how it looks.

I dunno, but B. carduchorum is in spike in San Francisco right now, as the leaves are collapsing around it.
I wonder if the comment on the wiki about bloom time is regarding plants in their natural habitat where flowering and growth is triggered by a change in temperature and rainfall. The wiki does show photos with seasons and they're not all in fall. I'd like to improve the wiki text.
David:
I found a paper indicting that not all of the Biarum's flower in the fall.
"Taxonomic Revision of Biarum - [Aroideana 29, 2_36] - Boyce 2006.pdf"
Arnold. Thanks. That is probably enough to fine tune the wording on the wiki.

Sinningia iarae from SX6 seed. This blooms off and on every year with a dormant period between growths. Not sure how long from seed to bloom but probably 1-2 yrs
Absolutely perfect Sinningia specimen there! I love that tuber. I have a cardinalis that looks very much like it.
