Title: Veltheimia bracteata
Post by: Randy Linke on March 29, 2023, 08:01:55 AM
Now blooming on our patio in Armilla, Spain.  Originally acquired as a single bulb from Telos Rare Bulbs, this divided during growth in 2021.  This is the first time it has flowered for me.

It is usually a very dependable flowerer once the bulb is large enough.
Mine flower in tiny pots on an indoor windowsill. Totally dry for the summer, they may or may not lose all leaves.

That's a really beautiful bloom, do the green tips remain or do they slowly color up? Striking flower spikes.

They all turn yellow as they age.
