I grew my first rain lilies this past year.  I live in the Sacramento California Area where it barely gets down to freezing.  I stored my one pot out on the front porch during the winter.  The porch has a roof, but is open to the weather on one side.  This way the pot didn't get rained on and did not experience any frost, due to the roof over the porch.  They received very little water during the winter, but the leaves remained.  It wasn't until spring that the leaves died back.  I started watering them again at the beginning of July and they bloomed all at once within just a few days.  This is consistent with Liberto Dario's notes on growing these in a Mediterranean Type Climate.

This is my first time growing a Crinum.  California's Central Valley isn't exactly prime Crinum territory as far as I understand it.  I received a bulb from the BX last year and planted it last summer.  It grew well and overwintered in the ground.  I covered it with leaves and put up a structure to keep the rain off.  I don't know if all that was necessary.  This summer I mulched it with some manure (chicken and steer from a certain big box store), as I read that this made them bloom.  Attached are the results.  This is Crinum 'Ellen Bosanquet'.  It started blooming on Monday this past week.

I put these Zephyranthes grandiflora
under the sprinklers on a Saturday and they were in bloom on Wednesday.  Of course they were done blooming within a week of starting into growth.  I will have miscellaneous flowers to look forward to the rest of the summer.  Thanks to @Luminita for the bulbs.

Bulb and Seed Exchanges / Re: Pop Up BX 482.i

Thanks, I have reviewed some of the cultural information.  Since we don't have specific information about the variety and no information on its current cultivation, or the location of the donor @Bwosczyna , I am making a guess at cultivation requirements.  Looks like it might be an elatus hybrid?
