Hi All

I recently designed the new garden for the restored Botanical Building in San Diego's Balboa Park (California).  This the Park's historic conservatory-style lath house flanked by lily ponds.  If you have ever seen a photo of Balboa Park, chances are it's a photo of the Botanical Buildling.

The new garden's theme is "Otherworldly." Fittingly, most plants are coming from specialty growers.  I am hoping someone in this group can suggest a few sources (growers, private collectors who sell bulbs, etc) of Scadoxus multiflorus (formerly Haemanthus multiflorus). 

I am most interested in sources located in California.

I had n idea there were evergreen Watsonia Lili - thank you.  This one does not need any summer water.  it grows in my dry summer bed  which is part of the reason its acting evergreen is so surprising to me!

I been growing several kinds of Watsonia for 25+ years and one clump seems to have gone rogue.  It hasn't gone dormant in a few years.  It started blooming a few days ago, weeks after all the other watsonia have totally finished blooming.  I've never seen an evergreen watsonia before, nor one that blooms this late in San Diego County area.  Has anyone else observed this?

This is an iris given to me by an old friend who has grown them for more than 50 years.  The plant grows about 30" tall and blooms now (May) in Southern California.  I am guessing it is a Louisiana iris but I'd love a better ID.  What do you think?
