The whirlpool may be from a manhole cover that popped off due to the torrent of water.

Yesterday we had the equivalent of one month's rain in a couple of hours.  NYC was basically  closed for business and subways were flooded.

Not far from where I grew up.

PBS Members Affairs / Treasurers Notes

We've had a bit of a glitch with PayPal.

They stepped recording the BX or SX number when transmitting payments.

I would  ask everyone to add the number of payments in the note section.

I'm getting receipts with a designation of Item # 1 or item # 2.

It makes it difficult to credit the proper SX/BX number.

Thanks and looking forward to the growing season.

I've seen the Bay of Fundy.

Quite a sight when the tide is out and the wharfs are so high

Marc:

In the Directory?

Robin should make the correction.  It is correct on the label of the Bulb Garden?

I had a plunge bed built years ago with stainless steel.  I went to a place that does  stainless steel  products for kitchens.

Its 3 x 7 feet six inches high, lip on top if folded over to prevent scarping and cutting my hands as I reach in.  Put a drain spout on the lower part on one end  in case I had to drain water out.  Filled with a combination of gravel and sand.  All kinds of things have popped in in it.  The Othonnas seem to like it best.

Mystery Bulbs / Re: Eremurus possibly?

Mike

Bulbs have a habit of sulking when moved.  The Eremurus have a minimal tunic and I'd guest prone to drying.

The spotted lantern fly has three to four instars before you see the adult with wings.

I picked up a small infrared camera lens that plugs into my iPhone.
