I meant to add that these are from Bill's 'Autumn Colours' strain and are blooming very early in our season.
Bill very kindly sent me the seed after I emailed him to see whether he would sell me some.

More of what is blooming here at present, 2 May 2022. Cyclamen and Hypoxis (Pauridia).

Hi Wayne, I merged this to keep topics in tidy packages - I left the oxalis one on its own for now, as it seems to be intended as a more narrow topic. As for this mixed one, I wonder if we should keep two separated monthly topics, one per hemisphere. My first impulse was, long before the forum went public, to just have an ongoing "general current photos" topic, but but @Diane Whitehead praised the merits of a lookup quality like "I need something that flowers in March, let's see what the others had". While I really like that Idea, I guess for that purpose we really need a hemisphere split.

PS: I like the hypoxis, very nice and tidy compared to my Hypoxis villosa

Thanks for that Martin, still getting my head around how this should work!
I guess one issue is that both the northern hemisphere land area and the human populations are much bigger than us here in the south.

Also have Moraea polystachya, Crocus niveus and Oxalis purpurea 'Ken Aslet' blooming, the last two in a home-made hypertufa trough.

Wayne,
Like Martin, I also really like the Hypoxis.
Well grown - beautiful!

Thanks Mike, as well as growing from seed, I have bought many bulbs from Tony Palmer's nursery 'Kellydale' here in west Auckland, and those bulbs came from there.
