First bloom crinums

Here are twins of Crinum bulbispermum x (bulbispermum x ligulatum) in first bloom planted in 10 gal and 7 gal pots.
The nice thing about this cross is the bright markings, precocious blooming, open presentation, hardiness, and the potential to do something similar but several times as big in five years.  This one is a pleasant surprise.20220629_203346.jpg 20220629_210100.jpg

Wonderful!  Patience is key!  The flowers are beautifully upright, good form.  Nicely grown.  Are you getting any fragrance?  I've just started with some seeds.  We'll see what happens in the cold upstate NY growing season.

Don't plant the bulbs too close to the lake. All of mine croaked within the first few years after planting outside. I figure the constant cold breeze during the winter certainly didn't help.

The flowers look great, Tim.
