[Solved: Freesia viridis] Plant ID

These came up in my yard (southern California) this week, They are green with yellow center and super tiny. The foliage is also very skinny. Ann MArie

Take a look at Wurmbea and Colchicum (Androcymbium) pictures here on PBS or on one of the large SA seed websites - Lifestyle, Seeds and All, or Silverhill. Their flowers vary enormously species, to species.

That said, the leaves look pure Iridaceae. Gladiolus?

That's Freesia viridis
subspecies viridis, one of the anomatheca-part of the genus

Thank you for this info. I'm not sure where I got these, did this site have them in a Box?

Well, its cousin Freesia laxa
tends to seed around aggressively in pots, chances are viridis does the same under good conditions.
