Dichelostemma ida-mae is a species native to western North America and
should do well in Fresno. These plants are also called Brodiaea
sometimes. They might be selling a selected clone or strain of D. ida-mae
under the name Firecracker Flower.

Dichelostemma congestum is hardy here, as are Brodiaea californica and the
terrific Triteleia ixioides scabra and T. hyacinthina. Grow them all!
