Dear all:
No, do not give water during their summer dormancy to your
dormant Tecophilaeas. It is clear in my posting that they grow during
autumn-winter-spring and that are DRY summer dormant.
I mentioned Geissorhizas as indicators not because some flower
with their feet in water but because the many species of them we grew in the
past all strongly disliked cold and demanded warm growing conditions, more
than other South Africans . That is, if your temperatures suit Geissorhiza
cultivation requirements, Tecophilaea violiflora will be a weed with you.
Regards
Alberto
