Tecophilaea and Gilliesia

Thank you, Alberto, for clarifying the climatic preferences of Tecophilaea.
I will move T. violiflora to a different frame where it will get more
summer water. I have never tried growing Geissorhiza here so don't know
what would suit it. I rarely plant South African bulbs because I find it a
bit too cold for them in the frames, but perhaps I should try more. (Where
would I put them? I just filled up another new frame!)

I did not know Gilliesia species were rare in the wild. I will have more
respect for the one I grew from Watson's seed, despite its appearance. Next
year I'll see if they increase vegetatively.
