Bulbs that flower without leaves--TOW

Hi all:

During april 2003 i travel to the north of Corrientes, Argentina and i 
found this small place after a very recent fire, here you can see two bulb 
plants:

Rhodophiala bifida with red flowers:

and Habranthus pedunculosus

As you can see in this last picture it flower with leaves although even 
under culture it usually dont.

For our experience some species, specially Habranthus use to flower without 
leaves in the wild but flower with leaves under culture, that was the 
opposite case.
