Arctotis and gazania

Osteospermum fruticosum=african daisy was used by caltrans for a time in the 60-80's but found to be too woody and therefore needing too much maintenance. Gazania is still the choice for newer landscape and freeway projects at least in So. Calif. Ann Marie
