Dear Jim, Mary Sue,et al:
Jim you have several Romuleas, Moraeas,
Hesperanthas, and others that are summer growers and could grow well with
you. The so called "Gladiolus culture" is excellent for growers in cold
climates. You can start the plants in pots in a sheltered spot and take them
outdoors as soon as the weather is mild.
And Mary Sue, I have grown Romulea komsbergensis
collected at the type location by Georges Delpierre and Maurice Boussard and
I remember well the chocolate and blue zones in the center.
Regards
Alberto
