Jim: I would guess that there is not much of difference in our weather. I have tried C. banaticus three times and it now has settled in and has flowered two years running. The only change was to augment the soil with almost 50% grit that I picked up from a company that sells it for sandblasting operations. Its quartz grit that I believe is mined somewhere here in New Jersey. Arnold
