frost damage

Dear All,
Every year when certain species become more abundant, I try them outside
in the open ground exposed to wind.  This year (with snow and fros down
to -5°C(   F) and the following species showed not the slightest leaf damage:
Iris formosana, Hesperantha cucculata, Gladiolus splendens (flowerbud is
now ready to emerge) Moraea marlothi, ochroleuca, polystachya, Cypella
coelestis, Aristea ecklonii.
Today temperature are going, spring is not far off.
