Hi Jane, Shawn et al:
                     This is a little known tuberous "Iris" that deserves to 
be more widely grown, very easy to grow. It was a great feature (flowering 
in February) in the legendary Wayne Roderick Orinda garden in which the 
landscape downhill was terraced in ample bulb "pastures" both sides of the 
walk. Stunning.
