Hi Jim,

C. erubescens is larger plant with darker green leaves, but the red scape (rather than mostly green as in C. americanum) is one of the easiest ways to tell them apart.

I have not grown C. amoenum for long and there are probably other ways, but one way I know of is that amoenum forms tight clumps, while C. americanum and C. erubescens have long rhizomes.
