how does one normally keep the group from getting "polluted" with self-sown
seedlings?

hello group, again!

I remove all flowers as soon as they start to turn brown. To find a new
snowdrop it is a case of walking through drifts. The unusual snowdrop most
often stands out. I found 'yellow' snowdrops in 2002 and 2003 by doing this.
Here is last year's
http://snowdropinfo.com/nivalisxplicatus-yellow.ht…. The group have now
been moved to two gardens in case something happens to the whole group. I
also have a tall growing find which stands at 14 inches to the top of the
ovary. http://www.snowdropinfo.com/nivalisxplicatus.html
