Veratrum

Dear Rand and others;

	Seems like Veratrum has inspired a lot of talk here.
	In addition to my V. woodii (a native) I have had a minuscule
plant of V. album for years. It has just never grown, but neither has
it died. I recently moved it to a place I think might be 'friendlier'
to it.

>I would love to have a Veratrum with a showier bloom

	Me too. Does anyone know if there actually are showier species or cvs?

>I have never seen any offered in catalogues.

	They do seem very rare. Anyone suggest some good sources for
V. album, nigrum or viride? Any others such as the V. formosanum
which I have never heard of, or seen offered. Jerry any sources?

	A call for help from all those Veratrum denied gardeners.

	best	Jim W.
